HOUSING AUTHORITY OF BERGEN COUNTY
The Housing Authority of Bergen County is pleased to announce beginning August 28??,
2020 at 9:00 am pre- applications will be available ONLINE ONLY for Brookside Gardens located
at 293 Murray Hill Terrace Bergenfield, New Jersey. Brookside Gardens is a 134-unit apartment
building that consists of (120) one-bedroom and (14) two- bedroom apartments.

In order to be eligible to apply, at least one household member/applicant must be 62 years of age
or older. The total household annual gross income cannot exceed the following income limits:

Pre-applications will be available online only at www.habcnjwaitinglists.org The first 250
completed and eligible pre- applications received electronically will be accepted.
Pre-applications received after the first 250 will be declined. The waiting list will close after
the receipt of 250 completed, eligible pre-applications and will remain closed.

For those who need assistance obtaining access to or completing a pre-application, the Housing
Authority will make staff available at Brookside Gardens, 293 Murray Hill Terrace Bergenfield NJ,
07621.

Staff will be made available to assist with the completion of pre-application beginning Friday
August 28?? from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm, as needed until 250 pre-applications are received and
deemed eligible. Please do not arrive to Brookside Gardens prior to 8:30 am.

In our continued effort to protect our residents, staff, and applicants we will require anyone
arriving to Brookside Gardens to wear a mask. The Housing Authority will have protective plexiglass
walls placed between the applicant and Housing Authority employee to ensure appropriate social
distancing measures are in place. Only those applying to the Brookside Gardens waiting list will be
allowed to enter and meet with Housing Authority staff.

You are encouraged to complete your pre-application as soon as possible, as it will be placed on
the waiting list based on the date and time that it was received.

This is not an offer for immediate housing. Eligible applicants on the waiting list will be
contacting as units become available.

Applicants who live, work, train, or attend school in Bergen County will have preference.
